PuttingKosovo on Vlad’s Agenda- June 30, Boston Herald editorial

This pro-Albanian nationalist editorialincorrectly states that Russia and Serbia are the only nationsopposed to Kosovo independence. China, Ukraine, South Africa and ahost of other countries have expressed apprehension with grantingindependence to the south Serb province. As is common with much ofAmerican mass media, the editorial blatantly censors the anti-Kosovoindependence position.

Iterroneously and propagandisticallymentions a «Greater Serbia» with no mention made of the«Greater Albania»

mind set that threatens the sovereigntyof four Balkan nations. Kosovo has been part of Serbia since 1912 andwas never an independent entity unto itself or a part of Albania. Theeditorial covers up the existing human rights problems evident inKosovo since the NATO led forced entry into that province.

On how to spin an issue, note how HasimThaci is uncritically cited as a reasoned politician.

Excerpt:

«The former Chancellor of Germany,Gerhard Schroeder, called on Ukraine not to forget Russia on its wayto the EU.

’The priority of he European Union isto expand the area of security and stability. We want to intensifythe EU neighborhood program and policy with the countries of EasternEurope and deepen the EU’s strategic partnership with Russia. Theforeign minister spoke about the historically close relations betweenRussia and Ukraine and he’s right he said.

The ex-president ofPoland, however, advised his neighboring country to pull out ofRussia’s influence.»

Imagine the outcry if a key formerRussian official were to call on Ukraine to pull away from westerninfluence.

Headof US Funded Group Fled Russia- June 29, AP article

This article seems to lead the reader ina certain direction by not noting the number of non-Russian owned mediaoperatives in Russia which frequently critique the Russian government(Sanoma and Independent Media comprising two such entities). America«More Terrible» than Stalin’s Russia?- June 29, FrontPage Magazine article

More like Stalin’s USSR. With somecredibility, a knee jerk reaction to Putin’s recent comments. Chinaunder Mao and Pol Pot’s Cambodia were arguably worse than «Stalin’sRussia». The Russian president raised some valid points notaddressed in this article. Specifically, the kind of historical andpolitical slants which receive preferred funding by leading Westerninstitutions.

For example and with others inagreement like Alexander Solzhenitsyn: Richard Pipes’ views on Russianhistory shouldn’t be seen as the sole legitimate perspective. Harvard’saffiliated JFK School of Government has hosted the political likes ofMasha Gessen and Yevgenia Albats.Along with someother leadingAmerican institutions, is that school as willing to play host tosomeone thinking along the lines of Natalia Narochnitskaya?
